WIN RATE
What is the difference between win rate and ROI?
Win rate is the percentage of winning selections, while ROI is profit or loss relative to turnover. You can have a high win rate and negative ROI if the odds are too short. You can have a win rate below 50% and positive ROI if winning selections pay enough.
Why win rate alone can mislead
A 70% win rate at very low odds can perform poorly if losses and margin exceed gains.
Why ROI needs context
ROI should include turnover, period, number of selections and the distribution of odds.
